Welcome to SCIP

The Save Children in Pain (SCIP) organisation was founded by a small group of ladies keen to raise money for local sick children through fund-raising events. SCIP have now raised about £120k during the past 20 years since we were established, which has been used to buy medical, and other equipment for local institutions and organisations in the community. The money has been raised through a range of events including; Car Boot Sales, Bingo, Raffles, Horse Racing Evenings, Skittles Nights, Craft Fairs and Donations.

SCIP achieved charitable status in 1996 with a view to widening our activities to help more children.

2010 events calendar now online

I'm sure by now many of you close to us will have heard about the sad and untimely loss of our Chairperson, Sandy Street, to cancer. Although SCIP relies on the hard work of many volunteers, Sandy was very much the inspiration and drive behind the charity and her loss is irreplaceable. Typical of Sandy, she wanted us to make sure we kept our events that we had scheduled for the rest of the year, so we are pleased to announce that all the events in our 2010 calender will take place. Please join us if you can. We very much value your support.
